Well, it’s no wonder I have a thing about cars – look at the cool vehicle I started out with! I don’t know if it was a Silver Cross, but it looks like a proper racing pram to me.
This is me and Mum in March 1965, so I would have needed the woolly hat and the knitted cardi. I think the loop of string probably had Teddy attached for easy retrieval. I still occasionally throw my toys out the pram now.

Oh I remember prams like that and I suspect I had one myself. I suppose those great big wheels and the springs that went with them made for a much smoother ride than the little buggies of the present day.
I love the pram! I don’t think that I had such a cool ride when I was a kid.
